Fraction Comparison Calculator

The easiest way to compare the values of fractions is to convert them to their decimal equivalents, and then compare the decimals. For example, suppose you wish to order these three fractions from largest to smallest:

14/23, 451/591, 7081/13902.

Dividing each numerator by the denominator gives you these decimals:


14/23 = 0.6087
451/591 = 0.7631
7081/13902 = 0.5094

Thus, the correct order of the fractions is

451/591 > 14/23 > 7081/13902
