Every day, pipefitters, plumbers, welders, machinists, and other tradesmen use mathematics on the job. Knowing how to set and solve up math problems, apply geometry and trig formulas, and compute accurate measurements are crucial skills in these professions. People who work in the trades may feel intimidated by the amount of shop math needed, however, the concepts will become second nature through practice and application.
